Public Records Request

Notary Public Records (Tex. Gov't Code §406.014)

Pursuant to Texas Government Code §406.014, entries in a Notary Public's record book are public information. As a commissioned Notary Public in the State of Texas, I will provide certified copies of specific record book entries upon receiving a formal written request and payment of all applicable fees.

How to Submit a Request

To ensure an accurate search of my records, please provide as much of the following information as possible:

  • Name of the Signer(s): The full name of the individual(s) whose signature was notarized.

  • Date of Notarization: The specific date (or a narrow date range) the act was performed.

  • Type of Document: A brief description of the instrument (e.g., Warranty Deed, Affidavit, Power of Attorney).

Fees & Processing

In accordance with Texas administrative rules, the following fees apply to all record requests:

  • Certified Copy Fee: $6.00 for the certificate.

  • Per Page Fee: $0.50 per page.

  • Timeline: Requests are typically processed within 10 business days of receipt of both the written request and the full payment.

Note: Per Texas law, I cannot provide copies of identification documents (e.g., Driver's Licenses or Passports) that may have been presented at the time of notarization, nor can I provide information that is not explicitly required to be maintained in the record book.
